Introducing Apate Security
Most networks today are full of devices nobody is watching - phones, laptops, cameras, TVs, smart plugs, the occasional thing a guest plugged in. Apate Security is a Windows console that makes all of them visible, scores their risk, and gives you the tools to investigate anything that looks wrong.
We built Apate for the person who is responsible for a network - at home, in a small office, or across a few sites - but doesn't have a rack of enterprise tooling to lean on. You install one app on one Windows machine, and within seconds it shows every device on the network with its IP, MAC, vendor, OS guess, open ports and a risk score.
Detection-first, non-destructive
Apate discovers and monitors using ordinary network requests - the same kind of ARP and ping traffic every device already sends. New devices get an automatic port check, which you can turn off in Settings. It never exploits or brute-forces anything. There is one optional active tool - ARP on-path interception, on the Business plan - and it is off by default, meant only for a network you own or are explicitly authorized to test.
Private by design
Your network data stays on your machine. There is no telemetry. Apate reaches the internet only for license activation, update checks, and the online intelligence lookups you choose to run - reputation, OSINT, and the like. Everything else is local.
What you get on day one
- Live discovery and inventory - every device, continuously, with vendor and OS detection.
- A risk score per device - so an exposed service or an unexpected camera stands out.
- Investigation and forensics - open any device for its ports, behavior and connections.
- OSINT and reporting - look up indicators and export a clean report when you need one.
You can start a 14-day free trial with no account and no card. Download it, paste a key or start the trial, and watch your network come into focus.
